To do well in an aircraft in PoE, you need to be very skilled, which wasn't the case in BF2. In PoE, however, there are just effective counter-weapons to them. Aircraft are indeed stupidly over-powered in BF2. I played the shit out of BF2.but I never had any illusions about the aircraft being anywhere near balanced. When you need to be able to do things like unguided snap-shots with the antitank rocket in order to take down 's the game that sucks. The fact that you -need- 2000 hours of practice in order to even cause the pilots in BF2 to -worry- a little bit, should be evidence the fucking game is unbalanced. And then my friend is trying to tell me to get BF2142, and I'm like NO FUCKING WAY, not until I see BF*2*, the one I paid for up and running on my desktop without crashes for more than a fucking minute.

Holy crap dude, you're better off than I am! I just did a fresh install of the game, used the FULL 1.41 patch and I can't get the fucking game to work at all! I start the game, and instant CTD. There's a delicious irony in repeatedly shooting down aircraft in the same way that pilots in BF2 racked up incredible numbers of kills because it was nigh-on impossible to kill them back, someone in PoE with a Shilka or Gepard can get tons of pilot-only kills with the 2-for-1 deal in most of the aircraft. Now that I finally have some useful and effective tools at my disposal, I just can't stop killing pilots. I really, really want to like this game but how can I when I can't fire my gun once without it breaking. How can I enjoy your game EA when it takes 10 minutes to load and get into a server and only 30 seconds to crash to the desktop without an error message? 3 times in one sitting!
